FARGO — North Dakota State University is partnering with Dickinson State College to create a first-of-its-kind pathway for students.

NDSU and Dickinson State announced the program Wednesday, Oct. 29. It will give students in Dickinson access to the pre-pharmacy training students receive at NDSU, which is the only college with a pharmacy program in North Dakota.

The collaboration was inspired by a growing need for pharmacists on in western North Dakota.

"We're providing coverage and making connections with people all across the state. We know that the health of North Dakotans is at the paramount for what pharmacists need to be focused on, and we're here to help students do that," said Amy Werremeyer, chair of NDSU’s Department of Pharmacy Practice.
