From Tuesday, October 21, 2025, through Friday, October 24, 2025, Detectives with the Porterville Police Department partnered with Parole Agents from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), Investigators with the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office, and Officers with the Tulare County Probation Department, to conduct a Sex Offender Compliance Operation. Those convicted of sex offenses may be required to register as sex offenders, pursuant to Penal Code Section 290. The Porterville Police Department routinely conducts compliance checks on all registered sex offenders living within our jurisdiction to ensure they are in compliance with their terms and conditions, as well as to verify that they are residing at their registered address.
