La Center fell one spot in the Class 1A rankings in the latest state football rankings by the Associated Press, released Wednesday.
The Wildcats fell from No. 8 to No. 9 despite posting a 42-16 win over Kalama last week. La Center’s dip was the by-product of Nooksack Valley moving up one spots following a win over previously No. 4 Montesano. Montesano fell to No. 6 this week.
Camas (No. 10 at 4A) and Seton Catholic (No. 7 at 1A) remained unchanged in the rankings and were the only other two local teams to appear in the top 10 of their classifications.
