Las Vegas tourism again lagged behind 2024 in September, this time welcoming around 300,000 fewer visitors largely due to “slower midweek volumes,” according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.

Midweek hotel occupancy in the region fell to 74.4%, a 6.7% drop compared to September 2024.

The weak month was most obvious in convention attendance, which declined by 18.7%. However, the LVCVA clarified that much of the dropoff came from a major mining conference being off this year and another moving from September to October.

Accounting for the two conferences’ attendance numbers, conventions only saw a 4.5% drop in September.
