The Tennessee Department of Education announced Monday the 2024-25 statewide graduation rate is 92.3 percent, breaking the previous record achieved in the 2023-24 school year at 92.1 percent.
Arnold Bunch, Superintendent of Hamblen County Schools, acknowledged there is work to do as the county’s overall score dropped to an 89.55% graduation rate, below the state average.
But, Bunch noted the district made significant gains in some individual categories.
“While our overall graduation rate declined from last year and remains just below the state average, the story behind the numbers shows tremendous growth among key student groups and reflects the district’s commitment to educating every student,” Bunch said.
