When it comes to the use of illegal drugs, law enforcement and community leaders are always looking for new ways to catch trends and save lives.
The Seminole County Sheriff's Office is partnering with Project Overdose to use artificial intelligence and urine tests to monitor drug usage in real time.
It's considered a way to find out which drugs are the most popular and what new drug mixtures are popping up.
Project Overdose will track this information with urine tests, the kind of urine tests employers have current and potential workers take.
"We are not drug testing anybody," said CEO of Project Overdose Andrae Bailey. "We have partnerships with some of the largest companies in America who do urine drug testing who also collect other forms of drug tests."
