For much of modern history, the worth of a worker was measured in rupees or dollars per hour, a simple equation of time traded for money. But that equation is being rewritten. The question of what work is worth has entered an age of renegotiation, shaped not by pay slips but by freedom, the freedom to choose when, where, and how one works.
