How Dorman volleyball swept Mauldin to advance in SCHSL playoffs

ROEBUCK — Reese Shugart’s thunderous kills were so loud that you could hear an echo in Dorman’s arena, which seats more than 3,000.

And it paid off for Dorman volleyball , as the Cavaliers swept Mauldin 3-0 on Oct. 29 to advance to the Upper State finals in the SCHSL girls volleyball playoffs.

”This stuff never gets old for me,” Dorman coach Paula Kirkland said. “I’m looking forward to the possibility of facing Boiling Springs in the next round . . . I think that would be exciting for the world of volleyball here in the Upstate.”
