Henry Nguyen, like most college students, has big plans for his working future, but he's also been hearing about layoffs as machines and machine learning are increasingly taking jobs traditionally done by people.

"I am concerned. There are a lot of students trying to get degrees, careers, and a lot of it is being taken away by AI,” Nguyen said.

A growing number of college students are now saying they're worried that the doors that used to be wide open in their chosen fields are starting to be closed by AI.

Data science company Encoura says the jobless rate for recent college graduates is now 5.8% - the highest level in 12 years.

Job advisors say those worried about their post-college career launch should try to network with humans, as well as technology.
