PULLMAN, Wash. – A suspect wanted for six counts of assault in a shooting incident in Pasco was caught in Pullman on Tuesday, according to the Pullman Police Department (PPD).
The incident began around 8 p.m. when Pasco Police Department officials contacted Pullman police, believing the suspect was in the Aspen Heights area.
After hours of surveillance, the suspect was safely taken into custody through a collaborative effort involving the Whitman County Regional SWAT Team, Pasco Street Crimes Unit and Latah County Regional SWAT Team.
Officials advised the public to avoid Aspen Heights and evacuated residents in the complex’s 100 address buildings to secure the scene and collect evidence. Drivers were advised to use alternative routes around North Grand Avenue and Pullman-Albion Road.
