Barcelona just can’t seem to catch a break this season, and now, neither can Pedri.

The 21-year-old midfielder, one of Barça’s most reliable engines, has picked up yet another injury, this time a tear in the distal biceps femoris muscle of his left thigh, the club confirmed after El Clásico.

It’s the latest blow in what’s starting to feel like a never-ending injury crisis for Hansi Flick’s squad.

“Pedri has suffered a tear in the distal biceps femoris muscle in his left thigh," the official club statement read. “The player’s recovery will dictate his return to action."

In plain terms, that means: no one knows exactly when he’ll be back.

Early reports from AS journalist Javi Miguel say it could be around three weeks: a tough spell for a player who’s barely missed a game this season.
