WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - In an update on social media on Wednesday, Kobe Japanese Steakhouse said Chef Fred Winter has made the decision to discontinue chemotherapy and transition into in-home hospice care.
"Fred has been undergoing chemotherapy treatments, but unfortunately, he began experiencing severe allergic reactions to the medication," Kobe Japanese Steakhouse shared on Facebook. "Due to these complications, he had to take a short break from treatment. Sadly, during this time, his liver cancer became more aggressive."
