Champions Australia are leaving India guessing over whether their batting tormentor Alyssa Healy will be fit to lead from the front in their World Cup semi-final blockbuster in Navi Mumbai.

On the eve of the eagerly awaited clash against the hosts, coach Shelley Nitschke gave an upbeat assessment on Wednesday of Healy’s progress after her recent calf strain but fell short of saying the 35-year-old skipper would be fit for the fray.

“As for the skipper, she’s trained well yesterday,” said Nitschke. “We’ll still give her as much time as she needs to make a call on that before the game tomorrow.”
