Brantford Bulldogs head coach Jay McKee felt the fans’ pain on Wednesday night.
Hosting Barrie in a mid-week match at the TD Civic Centre, the Bulldogs (11-0-2-1) were beaten 5-4 in overtime by the Colts (5-7-0-3), snapping Brantford’s eight-game winning streak. The Bulldogs remain the only team in the OHL without a loss in regulation.
With the Toronto Blue Jays battling the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series on the west coach, there was a different kind of bird in the Brantford stands – boobirds.
“I think the game got out of hand in a few different areas and that’s unfortunate to see,” said McKee.
“I think when we look back at the game and all the variables that occurred within it, we’ll be really proud of earning a point.”
