A second man has been charged with second-degree murder in a fatal stabbing in Etobicoke more than a year ago, Toronto police say.
The man, 61, of no fixed address, was arrested on Wednesday for his role in the death of Jesse Christian Halvorsen, 36, of Toronto, on Sept. 12, 2024, police said a in a news release Wednesday.
Shortly after 6 a.m. that morning, Halvorsen was found injured in the area of Lake Shore Boulevard and Islington Avenue after an altercation involving a group of people outside, according to police.
Halvorsen was taken to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
