COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Veterans Day is less than two weeks away and there are several events in the Chattahoochee Valley to celebrate the brave men and women who have served our country - including one with food where veterans are helping fellow vets.
“Just being a voice sometimes, recognizing what these veterans have done, recognizing issues that come about from deployments,” Benjamin Whittaker said.
He spent more than a decade in the Army – including a tour in the Gulf War – and Whittaker now chairs Tri-City Veterans of Columbus, which will have food and fellowship just before the upcoming holiday.
Another big event coming up is the 2025 Tri-City Veterans Day Parade. It will be Saturday, November 8 in Phenix City and Columbus with the festivities beginning at 10 am. We will be doing a
