Howard: This steelworker's son living his car dreams by selling Ferraris

West Bloomfield Township — Tom Shugars talked to his mother on the way to work every single day for more than a decade, their calls often ending with prayer as he entered Cauley Ferrari of Detroit on Orchard Lake Road.

The boy from western Pennsylvania, son of a steelworker, dreamed of one day working with cars. He trained to be a technical illustrator, drawing automobile designs.
