AVON, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -It’s the 2nd round of the 9-B football playoffs which is where you can always expect to see the Pirates of Avon.

They have put together another solid season that has seen them in the top 2 spots of the class.

The Pirates have a re-match with SF Lutheran tomorrow night, which is just in it’s 2nd year of football.

But the guys from Avon have won several state titles and these players know they are playing for those players every time they step on the field.

Justin Lukkes, Avon Football Coach says, “I never missed a game growing up. Dad brought me to every one and playing here and coaching here these last 20 years there’s a lot of history and it’s great to be out here.
