The Allahabad High Court has set aside the Moradabad district administration’s order that directed the Samajwadi Party (SP) to vacate the bungalow currently housing its district office.

On September 16, 2025, Moradabad District Magistrate (DM) Anuj Singh had cancelled the allotment of Kothi No. 4 , located in the Chakkar Ki Mill area of Civil Lines. The bungalow had been in the name of late SP founder Mulayam Singh Yadav for the past 31 years. Along with the cancellation, the DM issued a notice asking the party to vacate the premises within 30 days.

Subsequently, on October 6 , the local administration attempted to take possession of the bungalow by force. SP workers, however, sought time until October 10 to vacate the property.
