Tiger pugmarks spotted in Adilabad’s Kosuguda village triggered panic among farmers, who have suspended cotton harvesting. Forest officials suspect the animal migrated from Maharashtra and have deployed teams to track its movement while urging villagers to stay alert.

Adilabad: Panic gripped farmers of Kosuguda village in Sirikonda mandal after they spotted pugmarks of a tiger in a cotton field on the outskirts of the village on Thursday morning.

The farmers said they were living in constant fear following the big cat’s movement and urged Forest officials to take steps to drive it back into the dense forests to prevent any human casualties.

Earlier, another tiger was sighted in cotton farms at Tamsi (K) and Gunjala villages in Bheempur mandal on Wednesday, causing panic among locals. A
