ONTARIO, Calif. (KABC) -- All mainlanes of the 10 Freeway eastbound in Ontario are closed after an 18-wheeler hit an overpass on Wednesday night.

AIR7 flew over the crash on the 10 Freeway at the 15 Freeway interchange, where an oversized big rig heading eastbound struck an overpass.

Eastbound traffic is being diverted off the freeway at Milliken Avenue. Drivers will have to use surface streets to re-enter the freeway at Etiwanda Avenue, according to Ontario police.

It appeared the overpass was partially under construction, with exposed rebar coming undone. It also appeared that the edge of the overpass rail was buckling after the crash.

California Highway Patrol said all eastbound lanes would be closed for at least two hours as crews worked to inspect the overpass and clear the truck
