During the Buildings, Planning, Drains and Airport committee meeting on Tuesday, committee members discussed how to go about the City of Scottville acquiring the county office building at 102 5th Street for a new city hall.
“Some representatives from the county were able to meet with some representatives from the City of Scottville on Columbus Day to do a tour of the office building that the county owns in the City of Scottville for the consideration of their new city hall,” said Mason County Administrator Kaitlyn Szczypka. “They asked at that point if we could come up with an official proposal of a lease or a purchase and I am recommending that we move forward with consideration of a land contract with the City and depending on the structure, 10, 20 or 30, we would charge different inter
