ELIZABETHTOWN, Ind. – The Eastern Bartholomew Water Corporation (EBWC) said Wednesday evening that customers in or near the Elizabethtown area may be experiencing low pressure or a water outage.
The utility company’s eight-inch water main was damaged and is being repaired. Residents may experience water outages of four to six hours while this repair is being conducted.
When water service is restored, customers will be under a Boil Water Advisory until Friday, October 31, at 7 p.m.
EBWC warns that any water used for drinking or cooking purposes should be brought to a rolling boil for at least five minutes and allowed to cool before consumption.
