The Government has announced that disabled people will be at the heart of the first ever full review of Personal Independence Payment (PIP).
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) revealed on Thursday that two new co-chairs will join the Timms Review - a committee chaired by the Minister for Social Security and Disability , Sir Stephen Timms, with the aim of improving and modernising PIP policy-making.
Dr Clenton Farquharson CBE and Sharon Brennan will join discussions to ensure PIP fairly reflects the reality of the impact of people’s conditions in the modern world, as well as considering the needs of disabled people more widely.
