Credit card swipe fees have become one of the most prominent and oppressive issues for New York’s small business owners. Whether it's mom and pop stores upstate or corner store bodegas in Manhattan, the Empire State’s independent and small business community is feeling the pinch of swipe fees now more than ever before. This status quo is simply untenable, but our leaders in Congress have the chance to fix the problem by passing the popular, bipartisan Credit Card Competition Act, or CCCA.
