A Northern Territory mother has died unexpectedly while celebrating what her family said was her dream trip to Thailand.
Karla Anne Drescher, 47, was found unresponsive in bed at her hotel near Kata Beach in Phuket on Monday afternoon.
Thai police said there were no visible signs of injury or struggle.

Authorities confirmed several prescription medications and opened alcoholic drinks were found in her room.
