The North Carolina high school football playoffs are almost here. But before brackets drop, teams will hit the field for one last round of regular-season matchups as Week 11 kicks off Friday, Oct. 31.

Week 11 lands on Halloween night, but Wilmington-area teams won't be pulling any tricks.

Traditionally known as rivalry night, this year brings a shake-up. For the first time in seven years, New Hanover and Hoggard won't meet in a regular-season finale. Instead, the Vikings travel to Ashley looking to complete a perfect regular season.

New Hanover (4-5, 2-4 CCC) hosts winless Topsail in Wilmington's other Week 11 matchup.
