Highland Community College is planning to expand its Sports Complex facility after board approval.
The Board of Trustees approved the planning phase for the expansion during its Oct. 15 meeting. The project aims to transform the current Sports Complex into an athletic and learning center, according to a community announcement.
The expansion is designed to enhance academic programs, support increased enrollment and promote long-term sustainability. By improving the facility's infrastructure, Highland hopes to attract new students and create a campus environment that supports student success both inside and outside the classroom.
The renovated facility will also offer expanded course offerings related to physical education and healthcare, such as physical therapy assistant or exercise sci
