A British man was found dead with gunshot wounds in St Lucia on Tuesday.
Kenrelle O’Flaherty, 26, was visiting St Lucia from Anguilla where he was living. He was found fatally shot late on Tuesday evening in Garrand, Babonneau, on the island's North East coast.
Royal Saint Lucia Police Force said officers from the Babonneau station received reports of a lifeless body along a roadway at around 10:50pm. Upon arrival, police discovered O’Flaherty with apparent gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
It is believed that O'Flaherty, who is originally from London and had been living on nearby Anguilla, was on a short visit to St Lucia. It is not known how long he was on the island for before he was shot. Police have now launched a murder investigation.
