GURGAON: It's all about being a bit more "courteous". Traffic police will now say sorry when they stop you before they check your documents. "All traffic police officers and personnel should use golden words like ‘sorry' and ‘thank you' while interacting with the public. This will make dialogues between road users and police more courteous and friction-free," DCP Rajesh Mohan said on Wednesday. In a bid to make traffic management more efficient and commuter-friendly, the DCP conducted a special inspection of several key traffic junctions in the city and issued a series of directions to officers.
