The Henrietta Senior Center has announced a new mobile transport van for seniors.
The senior center offers a variety of classes, group activities and services to connect seniors to health care, legal services, housing and financial resources. State Sen. Jeremy Cooney helped secure $60,000 in state funding to purchase the van, which will take and bring senior citizens to and from the center and to events around the community.
The new resource reflects growing usage of the senior center at a time Henrietta is seeking to attract more older people as residents.
“As Henrietta continues to grow and as we have updated our Town Code to allow for additional senior housing, including new affordable senior housing projects, the participation in our Senior Center has also grown,” Town Supervisor St
