Since 1947, the Town Times has served the residents and businesses of Watertown and Oakville with a free community newspaper delivered straight to their mailboxes every Thursday. Sadly, following dramatic cost increases in recent years for printing, trucking, postage and other operating expenses, coupled with a steady decline of advertising revenue that pays the bills, providing a free weekly community newspaper to the residents of Watertown and Oakville, Connecticut by mail has become untenable. Therefore, the tough decision has been made by Prime Publishers, Inc. to cease printing and distribution of the Town Times effective with today’s paper, the final issue of Thursday, October 30, 2025.
