Luna and Plusza, a lion duo rescued from war zone in Ukraine, got into the Halloween spirit at Five Sisters Zoo — joined by the zoo’s ever-curious meerkats and newest residents, white-belted ruffed lemurs Tani and Azizi.
The animals explored spooky seasonal enrichment, including pumpkins filled with tasty treats, as part of the zoo’s annual “Boo at the Zoo” celebrations.
The festivities come as the zoo looks ahead to next month’s special milestone — one year since Luna and Plusza’s arrival in West Calder.

This year’s Halloween also coincides with World Lemur Day on October 31, making it the perfect time to welcome Tani and Azizi, a pair of white-belted ruffed lemurs — a species listed as Critically Endangered on the IUCN Red List. Article conti
