OAKVILLE – Lila M. “Sis” (Everitt) Church, 87, of Oakville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Complete Care of Middlebury on October 20, 2025. Lila’s husband Fred H. Church passed away in 2020.

Lila was born in Waterbury on March 23, 1938, daughter of the late Eva (Micloskey) and James D. Everitt III of Oakville. She grew up in Oakville and graduated from Watertown High. Lila worked in manufacturing at General Data Com, Wheeler Electronics, Winchester Electronics and Timex where she met the love of her life, Fred H. Church. Fred and Lila spent time together renovating homes to rent them out. Lila spent sunup to sundown working in the yard. They traveled the country in their RV and took family trips on their motorcycle.
