Two mums went on a 13-hour holiday to Albania for just 13 hours and said it was “better value” than a theatre trip to London.

Stacey Baugh, 34, and Claire Dukes, 41, are no strangers to extreme day trips and have done several this year. It’s a way for them to enjoy a getaway without impacting on their parenting.

This time they secured return Ryanair tickets to Tirana, Albania, for just £70.08. The pair left their home in Chesterfield at 1am to get their 5.55am flight from Stanstead - landing in Tirana at 9.50am.

They spent £60 per person on a private tour for the day - taking them on a whistle stop tour of Lake Bovilla, Gamti mountain, Mount Dajti and on an evening city tour.
