1. Minnesota gets quarterback J.J. McCarthy back this week. The former University of Michigan Wolverine hasn't played since Week 2 because of a high-ankle sprain.

"J.J. (McCarthy) is in a good spot," Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said this week on his weekly radio appearance in Minnesota. "Had some really good work (Monday) and he should get a full week of preparation in here and finally feels like he's truly ready to go be himself."
