SIOUX CITY (KTIV) -

TODAYS OUTLOOK:

The big story this morning is widespread dense fog as visibility is down to zero miles across the area.

A Dense Fog Advisory is in place for many of our counties until 10 AM but this advisory could get extended.

Be sure to take it slow this morning and give yourself some extra time.

Since we are below freezing, freezing fog is occurring meaning ice will likely form on cars that are outside, bridges, and overpasses.

On top of the dense fog, we could see some snow showers or flurries this morning as a cold front moves through.

We are not forecasting any kind of accumulation.

Once we warm up, we are forecasting to see a few stray showers in the afternoon.

Daytime highs will be in the 40s and 50s with some sunshine in the forecast.
