International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman Jay Shah met with International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Kirsty Coventry during an IOC meeting in Switzerland to discuss the pathway to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics and the return of cricket to the Summer Games.

Last year, the IOC approved cricket’s inclusion for LA28, marking the sport’s second appearance in the Olympics, 128 years after its debut in Paris 1900, when Great Britain won gold in a one-off match against France.
