Cincinnati city leaders have announced the deployment of new technology to improve snow removal, following last year's snowstorms that left the city paralyzed for days.
The city had previously purchased a system like this, but it was never deployed. That was revealed after last year's inadequate response. Advertisement
Mayor Aftab Pureval said his goal is to have roads cleared within 48 hours after snowfall. The new system is already installed in trucks, with driver training scheduled for next Wednesday.
The technology involves GPS and satellite systems, providing residents access to a clear and accurate tracker during winter events.
