To the Editor:

I was truly saddened to learn the news of the end of the publication of the Town Times newspaper with the October 30th edition. The publication has always been a welcomed delivery every Thursday in our mailboxes. Whether for local news, letters to the editor, sports, a photo, local commentary or obituaries, there was always something for the reader.

My deepest gratitude to the many staff who have worked for the Town Times over the years. You maintained a genuinely unbiased and neutral position on the reporting of news and issues, you upheld your rules regarding what could be published and you faithfully covered events throughout town. We will all miss these efforts and your hard work.
