(Tioga, ND) — A former secretary for the Tioga Auditor’s Office has been arrested and charged with theft. Prosecutors say Sara Wagner stole over a thousand dollars from the city. Court documents say Wagner was crawling under her desk holding envelopes of money during a meeting discussing missing funds. She changed her statement to police, claiming she didn’t remember why she was under the desk after writing that she was looking for the money under the desk.
