Year 12 students at a top Australian high school will sit an exam for a topic they have barely studied for following a major bungle that has left them with little time to prepare.
Education officials in Queensland have confirmed Brisbane State High School pupils taking Ancient History were taught about Augustus, the first Roman emperor, when they should have been learning about military and political leader Julius Caesar.

The error was picked up on Monday, as two classes readied for the 2025 external exam on Wednesday.
The school of more than 3500 students admitted the mistake and has apologised to students.
