After a brutal season, change has been the theme of the month of October for the Washington Nationals.
They've got a new president of baseball operations in Paul Toboni, who has turned the front office upside-down with hirings and firings. They're still searching for a new manager to try and turn this rebuild, which has gone at a glacial pace, up another notch.
One thing the Nationals definitely needed to do was to clean up the 40-man roster. Washington had one of the worst pitching staffs in the sport, from top to bottom, and there were pitchers taking up spots that probably didn't factor into the club's long-term vision under Toboni.
