More than 100 new apartments planned near Wellard Station

Construction works to build more than 100 new apartments opposite Wellard Station are scheduled to start next year.

The 111 new apartments and community infrastructure will be built on five sites sold by the State Government for $6.7 million opposite Wellard station.

The 10,793sqm landholding was serviced by the State Government and has been sold to the Yaran Property Group in a bid to increase the number of homes for people to live close to public transport.

It will be transformed into four medium-density apartment buildings with a mix of one-bedroom, one-bathroom and two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments.

A new childcare centre is also proposed to be delivered by JCP Developments, which will support families and contribute to the Wellard town centre.
