The Third Squad reports the arrest of a New Cassel man for an Assault that occurred on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at 11:00 PM in Westbury. According to Detectives, defendant Sergio Ariel Guevara, 27 of 267 Wright Street, entered into a taxi on Maple Avenue being operated by a 31-year-old male. A physical altercation occurred in which defendant Sergio displayed a knife and stabbed the driver. Defendant Sergio then exited the taxi and the victim fled the scene, calling police a short distance away. When Officers arrived, they observed that the taxi driver sustained a laceration to his left arm and was bleeding excessively.
