There is good news and bad news in the weather forecast for Halloween. The good news as of Wednesday afternoon forecast charts indicate that steady rain holds off until the late evening hours, allowing trick-or-treaters a dry time to collect their bounty. The bad news is if you are anticipating an early start to the ski season, rain will fall in the mountains below say 8,000 feet. Much of last week’s snow will melt and run off.

The weather system bringing the damp and breezy conditions will linger not far from the county line to the north during the day. Hopefully computer models are correct, and the moisture holds off.
