Michigan State Police seized weapons and electronic devices from an Eaton County home after investigating a Snapchat video that prompted Lakewood Public Schools to close on Wednesday, Oct. 29.

"After conducting interviews, troopers haven't determined if the individuals intended to cause harm or just made a poor decision in creating the video," MSP First District posted on X on Oct. 29. "A full investigation remains ongoing."

Police said a 40-year-old Holt man and his 17-year-old son, of Sunfield, who both were involved with the video are not in custody, and are cooperating with the investigation, MSP said in the post.
