Social Security payments for November are set to go out on their usual schedule despite the government shutdown shaking up operations in Washington, D.C.
Social Security typically pays benefits on Wednesdays, with the first wave of regular payments going out on the second Wednesday of the month, Nov. 12.
Subsequent payments will go out on the third (Nov. 19) and fourth (Nov. 26) Wednesdays of the month, according to the Social Security Administration’s calendar .
Those who get Supplemental Security Income checks will receive their November check on Friday, Oct. 31, since the first of the month falls on a Saturday.
Most payments should be issued electronically, as President Donald Trump signed an executive order to end the issuance of paper checks by the federal government.
