KCC leader Linden Kemkaran says she has no concerns at all about plans by a former colleague to launch a rival group at County Hall.
Speaking ahead of Reform UK’s six-month anniversary in charge of the authority, she tried to move beyond recent controversies.
The party has expelled five councillors this week, while a sixth remains under investigation, following a major falling out after the leaking of a video showing a private party meeting which became heated.
As reported yesterday, Cllr Bill Barrett - one of the expelled members - said he was in the early stages of creating the Independent Reformers.
