U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) is warning Democrats of the possible consequences if they continue to vote against opening the federal government.
A majority of the Democrats in the Senate have voted thirteen times against a clean continuing resolution that would fund the government through November.
While Republicans currently have a majority in the Senate, they have been unable to overcome the 60 vote threshold to avoid a filibuster.
Tuberville told Fox Business’ “Kudlow” this week that maybe it’s time for the GOP to considering nuking the filibuster to open up the government.
